How does the Toilet Stopper work?

The Toilet Stopper is a simple, inflatable device designed for backflow prevention during floods. What are the benefits of using a Toilet Stopper

The Toilet Stopper offers several benefits as a simple backflow prevention solution. It efficiently stops floodwater from entering downstairs toilets, boasts easy installation within minutes, and is reusable after cleaning. This inflatable device significantly reduces the risk of sewage backflow during floods, providing a cost-effective and hassle-free defense. Its durable construction, featuring a strong rubber bag with a Schrader valve, makes it a practical choice for protecting homes from foul water rising through drains.

How to use the Toilet Stopper

How to install the Toilet Stopper

Follow these simple steps to correctly install the Toilet Stopper:

  1. Gently push the deflated bag down into the toilet under the water level, positioning it in the U bend at the bottom. Ensure the hose attached to the rubber bag goes under the toilet seat, resting to the side of the toilet.
  2. Connect the valve of the hand pump to the valve on the hose. Pump up the bag until it is fully inflated and firm, avoiding over-pumping (similar to inflating a bicycle tire).

How to remove and clean the Toilet Stopper

After the threat of sewage backflow has passed, follow these simple steps:

  1. Deflate the bag by applying pressure to the valve pin on the hose. Use your finger or thumb to release the air from the bag.
  2. Remove the bag and hose from the toilet and rinse them with a mild detergent. Allow it to dry thoroughly before storing away for future use.

It works!

I live in an area where we are only 65 - 85ft above sea level. Every winter season we are all waterlogged. Occasionally, we have problems with backflow, but not now I have a Toilet Stopper! What a simple, but great idea! I can’t recommend them enough. I’m buying another one for a friend of mine. Thank you to whoever thought of this.
